Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide the employer or sponsor for employer-sponsored visas?

No. We do not provide, find, or arrange an employer or sponsor for you. Employer-sponsored visas require you to already have a genuine job offer from an eligible sponsoring business. Our role is to guide you and the employer through the visa process, not to supply the job or the sponsor.

Why should I use a migration agent?

The Australian migration system is complex, and even small mistakes can lead to visa refusals. A registered migration agent helps you get the detail right, prepares your application to a professional standard, and saves you time and stress.

Can you guarantee my visa will be approved?

No migration agent can guarantee approval, as visa decisions are made by the Australian government. What we can do is prepare a thorough, well-documented application that addresses the requirements set by the Department of Home Affairs.

How do I start the process?

The first step is to book a consultation through our website or by calling us. We'll assess your situation and explain the visa options that may suit you.

How long does the visa process take?

Processing times vary depending on the visa type and individual circumstances. During your consultation, we provide an estimated timeline based on current processing times.

What if my visa gets refused?

If your visa is refused, we assess the reasons given in the decision and talk you through the options open to you. Depending on your circumstances that may mean lodging a new and better documented application, or applying to the Administrative Review Tribunal where a review right applies. Not every refusal carries a review right, so we check that first.

Do you assist with employer-sponsored visas?

Yes. We help businesses sponsor skilled overseas workers and guide applicants through employer-sponsored visa options.

What types of visas do you help with?

We work across partner visas, skilled visas, employer-sponsored visas, student visas, visitor visas, ART applications and Protection visas.

How much does your service cost?

Our fees vary depending on the visa type and complexity. We provide transparent pricing upfront during your consultation.

Do I have to visit your office in person?

No, we offer consultations online and over the phone, so we can assist clients anywhere in Australia or overseas. We also offer face to face consultations at our Brisbane office at 320 Adelaide Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. These are by appointment only.

Can I apply for a visa while in Australia?

It depends on your current visa conditions. Some visas allow onshore applications, while others require offshore processing. We assess your situation and advise you accordingly.

What happens if I overstay my visa?

Overstaying a visa has serious consequences. You become an unlawful non-citizen, and an exclusion period can apply that bars you from being granted certain visas for a set time. Your options narrow the longer the situation continues, so it is worth getting advice quickly rather than waiting.

How can I improve my position for Permanent Residency?

Every case is different, but common approaches include gaining skilled work experience, studying in Australia, employer sponsorship, or state nomination. We can talk through the pathways that may apply to your occupation and circumstances.

Do I need to meet English language requirements?

Most visas require proof of English proficiency through IELTS, PTE, or similar tests. We'll let you know the specific requirements for your visa.

What are the requirements for a partner visa?

You must show your relationship is genuine and ongoing, provide supporting evidence about your relationship, and meet health and character requirements. We help you identify and organise the strongest evidence available to you.

Can I work while on a student visa?

Yes. Under current Department of Home Affairs conditions, student visa holders can generally work up to 48 hours per fortnight while their course is in session, and without a limit when it is not in session. Students doing a Masters by research or a PhD are generally not subject to the cap once their course has started.

Work conditions can change. Check the conditions attached to your own visa on the Department's visa conditions tool.

What if I don't meet the points requirement for a skilled visa?

The minimum points threshold for an Expression of Interest is 65 points. If your score is below that, you may be able to build it up through more skilled work experience, a better English test result, further study, or state nomination.

Meeting 65 points is the starting line, not the finish line. The Department states that even if you meet the minimum threshold, there is no guarantee you will receive an invitation to apply. We explain realistically where your score sits for your occupation.

How do I sponsor a family member to come to Australia?

There are various family visa options depending on your relationship. We assess your situation and explain the sponsorship routes that may be open to you.

Do I need health insurance for my visa?

Many visas require applicants to have adequate health insurance while in Australia. We tell you what applies to your visa and check it before lodgment.

What if I have a criminal record?

A criminal record doesn't automatically mean visa refusal, but character requirements apply. We assess your situation and advise on the best approach.
