What They Tried Before Working With Us
- Applied for a Subclass 187 visa, which was refused. The 187 has since closed to new applications, other than the Temporary Residence Transition stream for transitional 457 and 482 workers
- Awaited a tribunal hearing without a clear backup plan
- Limited visa options available due to the section 48 bar, which prevents most further visa applications from within Australia after a refusal

- Identified that the Subclass 494 is one of the visa classes a person affected by the section 48 bar may still apply for while in Australia, and confirmed the client could meet its criteria

- Completed Labour Market Testing (LMT) to the standard the Department of Home Affairs requires
- Worked with the Regional Certifying Body (RCB) through the endorsement process

- Both the nomination and the visa were approved, seven months after we were engaged
- The client holds a 494 visa, remains in Australia, and may become eligible to apply for permanent residence through the Subclass 191 once the requirements are met
