This blog will cover All States AND Territories updates regarding 190 and 491 visas.
We will look at the number of intending migrants who received nominations from State and Territory Governments from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2022. Please note that this number does not include the pre-invitations that the states have recently issued.
NEW SOUTH WALES
NSW conducted two invitation rounds in January, the first on 10 January and another on 25 January. Many occupations with a total of 65 points received invitations for 190 visas. We have yet to see many invites for the 491 visa from NSW. Considering NSW has so many seats left, we should see many invites at minimum points from NSW.

Due to the increased number of 189 invites issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Migration Queensland sent an email to all Registered Migration Agents notifying them to lodge a priority processing application for the clients who meet the eligibility for their nomination and will be able to lodge a decision-ready application. The priority processing was only available for applicants applying under the Skilled Worker's Pathway. We have already seen many invites from Migration Queensland after applying for the priority processing for our clients.

All information in your Registration of interest must be correct, as your nomination application may be refuse for the following reasons:
You do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Western Australia has been sending out many invites. Still, the number of nomination approvals is less as many applicants are either not eligible or are getting invited twice if they have multiple EOI's in the system. The processing time for Western Australia to approve the nomination is about 4-6 weeks, and applicants living there are getting invited at low points.
